PHDA presents at the IAS Conference 2022

The International AIDS Conference, the world’s biggest HIV and AIDS event, takes place every two years and is organized by the International AIDS Society. Policymakers, HIV and AIDS activists, scientists, and researchers come together to take stock of the latest science and fast-track action to address the epidemic, which has killed over 36 million people to date.

This year’s conference was the 24th such conference and took place from July 29 to Aug. 2 in Montreal, Canada, both virtually and physically.

PHDA presented an E- poster on the South to South Learning Network (SSLN) project. The poster “South to south learning between Uganda and Kenya to scale up access to Medically Assisted Therapy services for people who inject drugs” was presented virtually by Maria Mensah of the SSLN.

The International AIDS Society (IAS) convenes, educates and advocates for a world in which HIV no longer presents a threat to public health and individual well-being. After the emergence of HIV and AIDS, concerned scientists created the IAS to bring together experts from across the world and disciplines to promote a concerted HIV response.
