Partners for Health and Development in Africa (PHDA) marked a decade of building healthy communities in Africa on January 19, 2024, with a commemorative event held at the Boma Inn Hotel. This event served as a platform to honor a decade of PHDA’s groundbreaking achievements in healthcare and HIV/STI prevention. Further crowning the event was the launch of the Strategic Plan by PHDA’s CEO Mr. Peter Mwaura.
Founded with a mission of increasing access to health for vulnerable communities in Africa, through system strengthening, research, program development, and partnerships, PHDA appreciates the vision bearers, project coordinators, clinical staff, community members, partners, NGOs, donors, and stakeholders that have contributed to PHDA’s success. Through collaborative efforts and shared commitment, PHDA has made significant strides in improving health outcomes and enhancing the well-being of marginalized populations.
The highlight of the event was the unveiling of PHDA’s strategic plan for the period 2023-2027, which charts a bold course for the organization’s future endeavors with the theme: ‘Re-imagining the Health Equity Agenda for Marginalized Populations.’
As we embark on the next phase of our journey, we remain pegged and committed to our vision, mission, and core values. We look ahead to the future and do so with optimism, determination, and a deep sense of responsibility toward Re-imagining the Health Equity Agenda for Marginalized Populations.
