OUR HISTORY
Partners for Health and Development in Africa (PHDA) is an international non-profit organization working in the health and development fields in Africa and the Caribbean. PHDA is duly registered with the Non-Governmental Organizations Co-ordination Board in Kenya.
PHDA envisions healthy communities in Africa and works with disadvantaged communities to facilitate their access to health services through
PHDA is affiliated to the University of Manitoba and builds on a 30-year legacy of successful HIV/AIDS research, prevention, and care programs that have been implemented by a collaborative group of scientists and public health professionals from the University of Manitoba (UM), the University of Nairobi, the Government of Kenya, and other partners. PHDA works closely with governments, scientists, and partners to deliver results in community-led, participatory development programs in health and other fields.
