The HIV Prevention Technical Support Unit (TSU) met in Naivasha from the 5th to the 9th of September 2022 to develop the work plans for October 2022 to October 2023. The HIV TSU was created to support the National AIDS Control Council (NACC) and the National AIDS and STIs Control Programme (NASCOP) to strengthen the effectiveness of HIV prevention programs and services in Kenya. The project works with national and county-level governments, PEPFAR and Global Fund implementing partners, Gates grantees, and other key stakeholders to develop innovative ideas to improve HIV-related prevention outcomes.

For the period February to September 2022, the team has been able to;

  1. Set up a team of technical experts
  2. Build a strong working relationship with NACC and NASCOP
  3. Make notable contributions to each HIV prevention pillar
