CS, CPA Peter Mwaura

Mr. Peter Mwaura is a seasoned executive with nearly 20 years of senior leadership experience spanning the private sector and international non-profit organizations. He has held influential roles including Associate Director at Evidence Action, Head of Operations at TechnoServe Tanzania, and senior management positions at Africa Now (now Self-Help Africa), Innovations for Poverty Action, Kakuzi Ltd, as well as consulting for the World Bank’s Coffee Improvement Project.

Mr. Mwaura brings a wealth of expertise at the intersection of corporate governance, strategic management, program and project operations, grant and financial management, and administration. His cross-sectoral experience enables him to lead complex, high-impact programs with efficiency and strategic foresight.

He holds an MBA in Strategic Management from United States International University-Africa (USIU-A), a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics from Egerton University, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management. He is also a Certified Public Secretary (CS) and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Mr. Mwaura currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer at Partners for Health and Development in Africa (PHDA), where he continues to drive organizational excellence and sustainable impact across health and development sectors.
